Physiologic Nighttime Orthotics

3D printed, stronger than milled, thinner and flexible

Orthotics

  • Lingual-less NMO Neuromuscular Orthotic
  • Regular NMO with wire
  • Fixed orthotic waxed and silted
  • Fixed orthotic (belleglass) lab processed bonded
  • AMC appliance (Ann Marie Cole) temp airway
  • PNO appliance Physiologic Nighttime Orthotic

Why Lingual-less?

  • More tongue space
  • Myofunctional (speech therapy)
  • Digastic muscle relaxes (under chin)
  • Tongue has a comfortable home
  • Mandible can come forward and be comfortable

Posterior Tongue Seal

You want to have tongue fill entire oral cavity space, when lips and teeth are together the seal should be on entire palate.

Tongue Position

If we make an orthotic or crowns that restrict tongue space the tongue will automatically posteriorize (fall back) and cause jaw pain. Talking and eating it is on the floor of the mouth

Did we mention Comfort?

THe EmG Tells the Story!

As a Physiologic Dentist teaching OSA/TMD, and needing a sleep appliance myself…I’ve tried just about EVERY oral appliance out there! After all I need to wear this thing too!! Hands down the PNO is the greatest of all time! It’s flex/cush is the key! No matter what position I am sleeping in: side, back, prone…this appliance is comfy and does the job. I can’t sleep without it…truth is, I can’t LIVE without!
